The root of this project had developed from that moment in a sacred ceremony few years ago, when I looked at my reflection in a mirror and saw the image of me - divine self; image that can only emerge when you look at yourself through the eyes of LOVE...
Having grew up in a beautiful polish forest, I always had this special connection to Nature.
I honour Nature as the infinite source of inspiration, as well as the most powerful teacher and healer - Her power is in Her gentleness, acceptance and determination.
When I am in Nature with an open heart and senses, I feel at one with all the creation...
When I am in Nature, I dissolve into thin air filled with all natural sounds, into a complete union...
For me, being in Nature, is the most powerful and profound spiritual experience... Nature is just there – naked... look how much trust She has in us - nothing is hidden, everything is in the open, there is no deception. Nature gives such a sense of completeness, there is no other way to BE.
In Nature I know who I am.
We are often trapped in certain patterns of thinking and relating to the world. We are being told how to look, what to dress, what to eat... what choices to make. Some think we live in a free world, where we have access to everything we want, yet what we often don't have access to is our own self.
These images have many layers – they are windows from the outside world, from our mental prisons, to the real world, one that is beyond our physical senses and can only be reached when we connect to our inner selves. They are windows to our soul, our eternal beauty, our inner world.
On these images you will also see the dance between light and shadow, you can see illusion as reality and reality as illusion...
Art can be a way to express oneself; it reflects who we are and how we relate to the world around us. For me art is also a form of therapy. For this is only through healing ourselves that we can heal the world.
Creative process with each image involved meditation, which became a magical chariot taking me through the time and space to places and people I have never heard of before. On a personal level, it also became a navigation in a very powerful and healing journey, among other things also a search for the perfect symmetry - symmetry which lack was imprinted deep inside me. Since I was two years old, I could only see with my right eye. I can't see the world with my left eye AND the world can't see me through my left eye either. It determined my entire life, the way I relate to people, the way people relate to me, the way people see me....and became the biggest obstacle in reclaiming my personal power... It made me also living and looking more within than without, like Odin who sacrificed his eye in return for wisdom...
I was an extremely shy and asocial kid, but my journey took me far from that child, who wouldn't dare to look into a face of a stranger, through that teenager who was unable to keep an eye contact even with own mates, to the place I stand in now, as woman empowered to express her truth, taking another step on the path of authenticity.
Despite of what society wants me to think of myself, I know that I am a piece of art - the art of creation. And so ARE YOU.
